MK College of Education under CT Group of Institutions was established in 2005 by the worthy chairman Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi who is an enthusiastic, energetic and embodiment of goodness in the fond memory of his esteemed mother Late Smt. Manjit Kaur. The college is situated in the sprawling campus of CT Institutions, Shahpur; it is at a distance of 2 kms from Lambra and 8 kms from Jalandhar Bus Stand. In the year 2013 the college was accredited by NAAC and awarded B grade. College has come under Sec. 2(f) and fit to receive Central Assistance under section 12(B) of the UGC act, 1956. A school is a miniature of society, and the teacher is the omnipotent reformer to transform the society. For this, we are in dire need of great teachers but drawing the best teacher out of society is a challenge in itself. It is true that teachers are born and not made, but they have to be moulded & given a desired shape. The teacher education institutions only can cherish the need of born teachers. In the light of these challenges, M.K. College of Education is marching towards achievement of this pious mission providing the best of education to the would-be teachers of our country. The college stands on the very foundation of hard work, dedication and Sincerity. The college wants to uplift the standard of education because only education can bring the concept of mankind in country which is dire need of today. Our faculty members are experienced. An active interaction between the faculty and students is a regular feature of the institution. The learning experiences in the campus pave a strong path for enhancement of overall development of the learners. The campus of the college is ICT based and provides an e-learning and e-connect environment along with class co-ordination system. The laboratories are laced with computers having latest configuration to provide opportunities to the students to translate theory into practice. Making the teachers disciplined and inculcating self-confidence in them is the chief motive of this college. Our college has various student support services in the form of different clubs, committees and cells for the democratic functioning. Apart from the curricular and co-curricular aspects, our college functions for the betterment of the society.
